The Luminaries ~ EP ‘So Called Glamour’
The Luminaries consist of Jordan Brown, Calum
Scrimgeour, Max Kidd, Sam Stevenson and Will Stevenson. Having formed in
early 2008, the band have gone from strength to strength. Drawing
influence from artists such as The Smiths and Jeff Buckley to Tokyo
Police Club and Operahouse, their passion for music is reflected in
their songs and presence on stage. They have played at many venues across
Yorkshire with bands such as The Kabeedies, Just Handshakes (We’re
British), Mark Morriss (ex-Bluetones), Minus Jack, Operator Six, Alt
Track and many more.
They have most recently spread their influence
furthur afield, headlining the support slot for a Maccabees and Late of
the Pier DJ set Aftershow party for the NME awards tour in Brixton to a
packed out venue and alongside some of the scene’s best up and coming
bands.
The band returned to the studio in late February to finish compiling their new E.P entitled ‘So Called Glamour’, soon available to buy either via itunes or on CDs available at our gigs or online store.
