The Townsville troupe  The Middle East unveil another taste of their forthcoming debut album - and it's back to the fragile, achingly beautiful melodies that made us fall in love with them in the first place.

'Black Death 1349' isn't the new single for The Middle East, but think of it more as a taster of what's to come when the band release their long-awaited debut album, I Want That You Are Always Happy. 'Black Death 1349' is as mellow as you'd expect from the song title: slow, rolling guitar chords, echoes of guitar feedback like haunting ghosts and no drums at all.

Recorded between their home studio in Townsville, as well as Midlake's Denton Studio, I Want That You Are Always Happy is set for release on April 8. Keep your eyes on the Home & Hosed Blog around then, as The Middle East will be contributing to our new Start To Finish series, where artists walk you through each song on their new release.
